NLMK to continue exporting metal products to EU as usual
MOSCOW, Jul 18 (PRIME) -- Russian steelmaker Novolipetsk Steel (NLMK) will continue exports of metal products to the E.U. as usual after the union’s introduction of temporary protective duties, a representative of the company told PRIME on Wednesday.
“We expect the tariff quotas to allow us to continue supplies as usual,” the NLMK representative said.
The E.U. earlier introduced protective tariff quotas on imports of 23 types of metal products, and it will introduce 25% import duties on the products after imports exceed an average figure for the past three years. The measures will come in force from July 19 and will be in effect for no more than 200 days.
